Well it has been exactly two weeks today! God is Good!!! The time has been flying! By His grace I have not felt homesick yet! Or physically sick! Praise the Lord! I had a great 4th of July! Although we had no fireworks, we made a bon fire and grilled hamburgers! The shy was crytal clear and from where we are 9,ooo feet up, the stars are a lot closer! It´s amazing! I started spanish lessons today! It was interesting! I also attempted to give blood today, but they could not get my vein so I was unsuccessful, but the girl who went with me was able to do so! I am volunteering at a children´s orphange on Monday´s. I went for the first time this week! There are about 17 children all under the age of 5. They are awesome! Super sweet kids! I am so blessed to be able to serve them! Not a whole lot going on at the hospital this week! We did have two succesful surgeries! I was unable to attend them but it is a praise to almighty God(the great Physician)! We have been doing VBS with the kids this week and it has been so much fun! It has brought me great joy to see how excited these kids are about learning God´s word!! Well I have to keep this one short! I am out of time! I love you all! Thank you so much for your prayers! I am so excited to hear of the good news about Braden! Someone please send my love to the Perry´s! I am praying for them! I can´t wait to share with you what God is teaching me here!
Until next time,
Only For Christ´s Glory,
Colleen

Whoa ... 2 weeks! That has gone quick! Only 36 days left until Tris graduates! Woo Hoo I would love to go on a mission somewhere with children! It is so awesome God is blessing you this way! Perhaps one day Tris & I will be able to do something like this. Looks like I might be homeschooling.. so be praying for me.
I talked to your mom and she misses you so much! I remember when I moved to Germany, my mom and I really became a lot closer. I realized how much she meant to me! And she realized I wasn't a baby anymore and our relationship has continued to grow since. I pray that your and Donna have that same bonding experience!
I love you!
Hey Colleen! I have really enjoyed reading your postings. It sounds like you are having a terrific time and that the Lord is moving mightily in your life and in the life of others. I'm glad to hear you have not struggled with being homesick. I went to South Dakota for 7 weeks last summer doing missions and I struggled with it a lot. I will continue to pray for you. I look forward to seeing you again and hearing the many stories you will have to share. I am excited for this time of tremendous spiritual growth in your life. Have a wonderful day!
Praying for you,
Haley

Care Bear:
I am so excited to hear that you haven't even been homesick once! Our Father is taking such good care of you! Thanks so much for your posts, they are bearing fruit by challenging all of us here at home to pray for those serving Christ in other parts of the world and that God would be glorified by the growth of His Church worldwide!
Paddie & I love you incredibly! Till next time....

Calling Card,
Praise God for His faithfulness to you on this trip. It is so exciting to hear the opportunities you are having. You may never know on this side of eternity the impact God is having through you right now. I pray the excitement you are building right now for the gospel ministry will never end but grow stronger throughout the rest of your days; both on this trip and the rest of our life!
I love you, my sister!

Colleen, its unreal to think you have been gone for two weeks. It's like you left yesterday. You sound as if you are having a wonderful time getting to do what you love. I know you miss your family and they miss you. Samo says hello. You won't reconize him when you get back. I pray that you have a safe and wonderful time. I hope the elections go as well as they can.
LOVE YOU!
Colleen,
Thanks for the update. Can't believe it has already been two weeks. Glad you are doing well and feeling blessed. We prayed for you this morning and will continue to do so. Things are fine here. We had our meeting tonight and voted to leave the Primitive Baptist denomination and to join ARBCA. We also voted to bring Steve on staff full time staring in September. Just wanted to keep you up to date as well.
God Bless you, Dave Parish
Oh Colleen, to think you are aorund the world serving our Savior and being His hands and feet! Wow, my dream! For now, I'll serve on my side of the world. Praise the Lord for giving you strength and encouragement. We are praying for you. Love and hugs, we miss you more every Tuesday night! See you soon,
Becky
Here's a quote used in our worship service last week, it made me think of our beloved summer missionaries:
"The Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have begun thinking less of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this one. Aim at heaven and you get earth thrown in; aim at earth and you get neither." ~CS Lewis
For those reading this, our church (the Shepherd's Church) is conducting an inner city evangelism/VBS type program this week in the heart of a rough neighborhood. We covet the prayers of those reading this blog for the salvation of souls and safety of the workers!!!
Care Bear, we love you 206%!!!
