hola a mi familia y amigos en los estados unidos!
So it´s Wednesday about 4:30 and we are spending the day resting! We had a busy weekend and past couple of days! We left for the jungle Friday evening and got back around 1 in the morning on Sunday! I can´t even begin to tell you how beutiful it was! I will have to show you the pictures! I will say, I did the scariest thing I have ever done in my life while in the jungle! A couple of us were brave enough to swing from a 18 meter platform sitting on a piece of wood! It was crazy! I have a video of that to show you! Beat that Rex!!! It was so much fun hiking up the mountain and seeing the monkeys and birds! Some of the monkeys came right up to us and even climbed on us! One of the little rascals stole my earring! (I got it back though) but then it fell out of my pocket and is lost somewhere in the Amazon!
We rested Sunday after church and then packed up for the Compo trip! That was exciting! We drove 5 hrs. up oneside and down the other of the mountains! Thank goodness for gravol (dramamine). The ride there was pretty scary! The road was very narrow about the lenght of the bus we were riding in, but God protected us all and we made it there and back safely. The expereince there in the mountains was phenomenal! I can´t even put into words what we experienced. I´ll have to think on it and tell you when I get back! The Lord was definetly at work there, more so in us volunteers, We went there to teach these people but, in turn they were teaching us! It was totally God at work! I can´t wait to tell you all about it!
We are supposed to be doing a surgery tomorrow. The doctors are going to be removing some varicose veins. I am actually gonna get to go in with them! I want to tell you more of what has been going on, but there is just not enough time! I will have to do it when I get back! Hope your ready to listen! :) I will probably be able to post one more blog before I leave. I will try to give you details about my return trip. I know I will have to leave Cochabamba a day early and stay by myself in a hotel in Santa Cruz. I will let you know details so you will know how to pray for me! I appreciate all of you keeping up with me and posting comments! Thanks for being the body! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!
Glenn! I am so excited to hear about Ashlyn! I sure hope you got it on video!!!! I miss you guys! You better go ahead and prepare yourself now, because I got some great pictures for you! One in particular I know you will love!! I can´t wait to share them with you!!!!!! oh and the stars are closer because we are 9,000 feet above sea level and we are closer to the equator! ha I love ya man, tell the girls and Traci I miss them and give them a hug for me!
oh, I also want to know if Robb made it back yet?
How is Braeden Perry?
Has anyone heard from Brandon Pearce?
They are all in my prayers!
For my classmates who may be reading this, is there any new assignments other than Mod. 1&2 that I need to be doing?
See you soon! Lord willing
Colleen

Colleen, I am heavenly thankful for the opportunity God has given you this summer. You will want to do it again. I am sure of it. God may be preparing you for being a full-time missionary to the people of Bolivia or somewhere else. Ask Him to continue to have His way in your life.
As you can tell, I did make it back safely. Though I was gone for a short while, God spoke volumes. Since you only have a limited time to read comments on here, I will share much of it with you when you return. In fact, I am going to wait until you return so that we can do our presentations together (as I promised you I would).
I want to leave you with two things.
1. With 11 days remaining (and even less by the time you are reading this), please make all of the time that you can. You may never return to Bolivia. You may never see many of the people that you are looking at right now. Do all for Jesus’ glory.
I watched Gladiator recently. Proximo, the ex-gladiator recruiter, said it best:: “Ultimately, we're all dead men. Sadly, we cannot choose how but, what we can decide is how we meet that end, in order that we are remembered, as men.”
Colleen, you will be remembered in Bolivia and here for something when you are gone. Let it be Christ. Let it be the Cross of our Savior, that place where grace, hope, and reconciliation took place for all those who would believe. Let the legacy of our Savior be yours also. Love Him and people with complete abandon. Make it about Him and them.
2. Rely on God’s strength daily for His provision. It is necessary, even for life. Spurgeon writes this :: “Never try to live on the old manna nor seek to find help in Egypt. All must come from Jesus, or thou art undone forever. Today, thou mayest be upon the summit of the mount of God, but He who has put thee there must keep thee there, or thou wilt sink far more speedily than thou dreamest. Thy mountain only stands firm when He settles it in its place. Is it not best for us that it should be so, that we may often repair to His throne and constantly be reminded of His love? Oh! How rich the grace that supplies us so continually and doth not refrain itself because of our ingratitude!
I love you and seek God’s favor for you. I look foward to seeing you when you return.
for Him and them,
rd
Colleen,
Sorry that you have not heard from me in the last few weeks. I have had problems logging in but now that is fixed! Just because you have not heard from me does not mean that I have not been keeping up with you! I miss you so much and can't wait for you to come home and tell us all about your trip. I can tell in each message how God is changing you and I am excited for you. Your spanish is really great too! You are such an inspitation and I feel like I am reading a novel every time I log on and read about your adventures! Well now about school, Mrs. Ryan has posted a calander and also Mod 3. We have a busy and exciting year ahead of us! For Mod. 3 you need to read Lowdermilk and Perry chapters 11,12,13,14, and 24 pages 782-818. Their are work sheets to go with that but we will take care of that when you get back!! I am so proud of you and others(Alania & Lori) have been asking about you so I sent them your blog to read. It is so fanominal that I could not describe it myself!
Come home safe and as always I am praying of you!!!!!!!!!
Teresa

I do not take the girls back to thier father's until Aug. 6 so Elizabeth is very excited about seeing you when you get back. We are having a pool party tomorrow (Sat.) for Stephanie and Zachary's birthday. I can not believe Steph will be 11 and my little man will be 4. Wow! Time flies! When you come back home I will also have to fill you about him and the daily shots! He has his 4 year wellcheck with Dr. Kim next Tuesday!
I miss you so much and I am so happy that you are doing so great and having fun while spreading the News of Jesus! You will be so blessed for all that you are doing! Can't wait until you are back in the ladies study! We all miss ya but we have a few weeks left after you come home so you can atleast finish it with us.
We all love and miss you and will continue to pray for you and your travels,
Jennifer and the rest of the gang.
Can you believe my baby will be going to pre-k this year. I am so excited about ECS!!! I just can not wait to see him learn and grow over the next few years. I am so excited that he will be in a school that teaches what needs to be taught; God's Word!
